Why Choose Pattaya Cruises? | Is It Fun?

The reason I have become involved with Pattaya Cruises is that I was at a beach party that used the Duchess as our choice of yacht hire. The boat was great but the organization was not up to it. Who would organise the booze? Who would organise the food and snacks? Who would organise the transport to and from the Marina? Who would organise the waiters? How much would it cost? To tell the truth it was all of a bit of a dog’s dinner.

However the day out was truly, truly amazing. Once we got our act together and someone shouted down a couple of baht buses we got on our way to the marina. It was a great morning with the sun shining and a very slight breeze. This is where I made my first mistake, it was so nice I did not put on as much sun screen as I should have. Beware if you are fair or even have a tan skin. Sunscreen is needed.

The driver, or Captain as he is known in seafaring terms, sailed us over to Monkey island, which I had never heard of. On the way there we had consumed a few beers. When we anchored just off shore we could see the little buggers (monkeys) all over the island, but we were here for a swim. Here was mistake No 2. Having not swam for a few years and indulging in a few beers I thought I was Mark Spitz and dived into the sea. Sadly the sea is deeper than I am tall, so it was a bit startling not to find the bottom. Or maybe I was lucky not to find the bottom! A great stop, but remember to take care if you are swimming. Some of the younger passengers were diving from the 3rd level of the boat: quite impressive and better left to those under 30.

Then it was off to Koh larn for lunch and some sunbathing. Mistake number 3 for me. More beer, food and volley ball and no sunscreen. By this time I was a nice shade of pink: say no more. The meal had not been arranged and it was all a bit of a balls up. We eventually had a reasonable meal, but quite expensive for the fare offered. That is why Pattaya Cruises offers a buffet or a set meal in our price. So that you know how much it is going to cost and the restaurant knows that 30 people are going to appear.

Then it was back on board for the short trip to Ocean Marina and it only took a couple of beers to be back in Pattaya.

Overall vote was that it was a fantastic and unforgettable day out.

I have teamed up with the owners of the Duchess and we organise all sorts of cruises and charters. What do you want?
